I think you should up (no pun intended) your rating to an A+. I saw the movie with my teenage kids and they were moved by the incredible love of the couple. I’ve never seen love expressed so simple and so joyful in a cartoon movie.
I try not to sweat ratings too much. Ultimately film appreciation is not a matter of numbers. I’m a film critic because I love writing about film, not because I love rating films. Up was a joy to watch, to think about, to write about. That’s what matters to me as a critic.
